FLORA is a botanic museum and garden dreamt up as a project through the School of Visual Arts’ Cont. Ed branding course. The task at hand was to explore brand identity through the creation of a fictional museum. The industry, consumer, and competition influenced the museum’s design goals. FLORA is embodied by a punchy palette, tasteful duo tone photography, and a modern typography treatment.

Palette, Symbols, and Logo Variations

Botany, no longer solely focused on the descriptive defining of plant species, is evolving into many sub disciplines such as biochemistry, plant pathology, plant physiology, etc.

FLORA strives to make modern botanical practices engaging and understandable. Clean design choices emphasize the focus on the present and future of our natural world.

Photography Treatments

FLORA’s bright, eccentric design elicits excitement and optimism for the future of botany. The museum welcomes all who have a love for our natural world, and wish to learn about the flora we share it with.
